About us
The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is a statutory body established in 1966 to promote, assist and develop Hong Kong’s trade. With 50 offices globally, including 13 in Mainland China, the HKTDC promotes Hong Kong as a two-way global investment and business hub.

The HKTDC organises international exhibitions, conferences and business missions to create business opportunities for companies, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), in the mainland and international markets. The HKTDC also provides up-to-date market insights and product information via research reports and digital news channels.

HKTDC is a statutory organisation governed by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council Ordinance (Chapter 1114 of the Laws of Hong Kong). It is committed to demonstrating high standards of corporate governance, both as a statutory body in the public service and as an organisation with a responsibility to show leadership in best practices to Hong Kong’s business community.

In this period of tumultuous change, we identified new areas of opportunity for Hong Kong businesses to grow: sustainability, innovation and technology, and wellness. These areas will drive future economic and social development and create a better world. In this final year of our current business cycle, we refined our focus on Hong Kong’s key strengths in these three areas to offer value-added opportunities.

In 2024-2025, the HKTDC will remain steadfast in its mission to serve businesses and help them connect with opportunities worldwide via the Hong Kong platform, while reinforcing Hong Kong’s role as a two-way leading business and investment hub between Mainland China, ASEAN and the world.
